Dr. Lydia Mapstone, CEO of BoobyBiome, has won the Founders Forward Perfect Pitch competition organised by Newable and JPMorgan Chase & Co.
The competition was designed to provide 30 ambitious female entrepreneurs with a platform to receive bespoke advice from Newable and JPMorgan staff, expand their professional networks and pitch to panels of executives, experienced investors and seasoned entrepreneurs.
Out of more than 50 applicants, Dr. Mapstone successfully navigated through the initial round by competing against 30 entrepreneurs to make it to the final. Dr. Mapstone’s passion and in-depth knowledge of her sector stood out as she then secured the final cash prize and exclusive pro bono business support from JPMorgan senior executives.
Dr. Mapstone stated, "I am thrilled to be recognised as one of the winners in this inaugural competition. Each founder within this cohort showcased incredible talent and determination and it was a pleasure to witness female innovation happening across a huge variety of sectors. I was also pleased to see JP Morgan's commitment to supporting working mothers, as evidenced by the dedicated breastfeeding room in their offices—a step in the right direction for workplaces globally. Thank you for organising this great event and I look forward to a collaborative future with JP Morgan."
Dr. Mapstone's success in the Founders Forward Perfect Pitch competition not only highlights her individual accomplishments but also underscores the innovative and impactful work that BoobyBiome is doing to support infant health.
