How this site uses cookies.
A few cookies keep the site working. Some more, only if you say so, help us understand how people use it and let us show BYOMI to people who have visited. This page explains each one and how to change your mind.

- Strictly necessary cookies are always on. They make the site, the basket and the checkout work, and the law does not require consent for them.
- Analytics and marketing cookies are off until you switch them on. We ask when you first arrive, and nothing optional is set before you choose.
- You can change your mind at any time, as easily as you decided, from Cookie settings in the footer.
Who we are.
This site is run by Booby Biome Ltd, Unit 3, 21 Portland Rise, London N4 2PT. We are the data controller for any personal information collected through it. You can reach us at info@boobybiome.com. The site is built on Shopify, which places some of the cookies below on our behalf.
What cookies are.
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your phone or computer so it can remember something between pages or visits. The same rules cover similar technologies, such as local storage and tracking pixels, so when we say “cookies” here we mean all of them.
UK law (the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003, regulation 6 and Schedule A1, as amended from 5 February 2026) says we may only store or read information on your device if we tell you clearly what it is for, and either you agree or the purpose falls within a small set of exceptions. The main exception covers cookies that are strictly necessary to provide the service you asked for.
How we ask.
The first time you visit, a small notice offers three choices: accept all, reject everything that is not essential, or open the settings and decide category by category. Rejecting takes one tap, the same as accepting. We set no analytics or marketing cookies until you have chosen, and we never treat carrying on browsing as agreement.
Your choice is remembered for 12 months in a cookie of its own, so we do not ask again on every visit. To change it, use Cookie settings at the bottom of any page. Switching a category off stops those cookies from being set again; you can also delete the ones already on your device using your browser, as explained below.
The cookies we use.
Strictly necessary · always on
These make the site work: they hold your basket, keep checkout secure, remember your country and record the cookie choices you have made. Without them the site could not do what you ask of it, so consent is not required.

Analytics · off until you say
These help us see which pages people read, where they arrive from and where they leave, so we can improve the site. They produce statistics about how the site is used, not a profile of you. Where a third-party analytics provider is used, it receives this information to produce those statistics for us.

Marketing · off until you say
These let us show BYOMI to people who have visited this site when they are on other sites, and tell us whether that worked. They are set by advertising platforms and let those platforms recognise your browser across sites. We do not sell your information.
| Name | Set by | What it does | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
| _shopify_marketing | Shopify (site platform) | Holds marketing data for the storefront and checkout | 12 months |
| Advertising pixels | To be confirmed | Provider and cookie names to be confirmed before publication | To confirm |
Names and durations for Shopify cookies are taken from Shopify’s published cookie policy (last updated 5 August 2026). Rows marked “to be confirmed” are placeholders and must be completed from a cookie audit of the live site before publication.
Embedded content
Our videos are served with the page rather than from a third-party player, so watching them sets no cookies. The Instagram and LinkedIn links in our footer are ordinary links; once you are on those sites, their own cookie policies apply.
Managing cookies yourself.
Every browser lets you see, block and delete cookies. Blocking the strictly necessary ones will stop the basket and checkout working. The makers of each browser explain how:
Your rights and how to complain.
Where a cookie involves personal information, your data protection rights apply. They are set out in our Privacy policy, along with how to exercise them. If you have a concern, please tell us first at info@boobybiome.com and we will look into it. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy.
When we change how the site uses cookies, we will update this page and the date at the top, and if the change needs your consent we will ask for it again. If a change affects you, we will make it obvious on the site rather than leaving you to find it.
